2. What we collect

Right now, the site captures waitlist signups. We collect:

• Your email address (required to join the waitlist)
• Your first name (optional, if you choose to provide it)
• Basic technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited
• Cookies: see section 9 below

4. Who we share your data with

We use Google services to run the waitlist. Your name and email address are stored in Google Sheets. Google processes this data on our behalf as our service provider.

Our waitlist and update emails are sent through Resend, our email sending provider, which processes your name and email address on our behalf to deliver them.

Google and Resend are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the UK; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK approved standard contractual terms, to protect it.

Our website is hosted by Vercel (servers in the US and EU). The same international transfer safeguards apply.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your waitlist data for as long as you remain on the list or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe, we delete your data within 30 days unless we need to keep it for legal reasons.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@oriethebrand.com.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data
• Deletion — ask us to delete your data
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to our processing of your data
• Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Marketing

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and we will stop emailing you. You can also email hello@oriethebrand.com to opt out at any time.

8. Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the site to function. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this section and ask for your consent before setting them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email where possible.
